God thinks about you
Spiritual growth has a definite pattern. While
there is a mystery in how God transforms the
soul, there is a humanly discernable outline
of the maturing process. Before the soul will
begin a period of growth it must be strongly
nourished by the deep love, goodness and generosity
of God. It is when we stand firm on the reality
that we have been showered with grace that we
will have the strength to look at the character
transformation God has planned for us.
Psalm 139 is full of the idea that God thinks
about you. He knows your comings and goings,
your history and dreams for the future and your
innermost thoughts. Even one better, He created
your innermost being. God knows more about you
than even you do. David sums up his thoughts
with, “How precious concerning me are your thoughts,
O God! How vast is the sum of them. Were I to
count them, they would outnumber the grains
of sand.”
I find comfort when a friend says, I have
been thinking about you. “When God whispers
in my ear, “I have been thinking about you,”
those aren’t just nice words. He has thought
about me a lot and His feeling towards me
is that I am precious to Him. It is good to
rest your soul often in the personal goodness
of God.
Yours in Christ,
